In this blog, I have mentioned about Nokia Lumia 620 Vs Lumia 820.
Nokia is a mobile manufacturer in the industry for quite a long time now and is still considered one of the major manufacturers today. This establishment was long credited with launching gadgets that featured a streak of innovations and technological advancements.
Nokia has taken the world of mobiles by storm by releasing several new models under Lumia and Asha’s names. These two mobile series, each consisting of their own models, have brought accolades to the brand for their design aesthetics. However, most consumers tend to get confused on which mobile to buy as there are a lot of features variations and subtleties in the way they behave.
The following article is for Lumia lovers who are in a dilemma on whether to buy the Lumia 620 or the Lumia 820. The specifications and features listed below might help you in deciding which phone would suit you better.
Operating system:
Both these phones work on Windows Phone 8 and also utilize the same Candybar form factor. Windows 8 is the latest mobile software from Microsoft and has been gaining a lot of ground in the mobile ecosystem thanks to its bold design and UI.
Also, both these mobiles make use of Qualcomm snapdragon S4 Chipsets. However, the clock speeds of the CPU tend to vary from each other. Nokia Lumia 8 can be said to be the mobile with the upper hand when the CPUs’ clock speed of these phones is considered.
Dimensions and weight:
Nokia Lumia 820 has dimensions of 123.8 x 68.5 x 9.9 mm while the Nokia Lumia 620 has dimensions of 115.4 x 61.1 x 11. Also, the Nokia Lumia 620 weighs around 127 grams whereas the Nokia Lumia 820 weighs about 160 grams. Hence the Lumia 620 would seem a better option from the weight perspective.

Also, the Lumia 820 makes use of AMOLED technology while the Lumia 620 uses the CB Screen or clear back technology. The Lumia 820 has a bigger screen with a narrower look when seen against the Lumia 620.
Both these phones come with capacitive multi-touch screens containing proximity and also light sensors. Other features of these phones are way too similar to weigh them against each other, and both are equally good.
Storage memory:
Lumia 620 comes with 8GB of internal memory along with a RAM of 512MB and the Lumia 820 too has an inbuilt memory of 8GB. However, both these mobiles have the facility of extendable memory up to 64 GB.
Camera:
The Nokia Lumia 620 has a camera of 5 MP along with an LED flash for better low-light shooting. The Nokia Lumia 820, however, has a greater standard when it comes to the camera due to its 8 MP camera clarity which again comes with an LED flash. Also, the Lumia 820 has the lens of Carl Zeiss Tessar making it all the more desirable.
Other features:
The volume and keys on both these phones are similar, and they don’t really help compare these mobiles. Also, the range of colours that the Nokia Lumia 620 is available in is far higher than in the case of the Nokia Lumia 820.
Nokia Lumia 620 has a battery capacity of 1300 mAh while the Lumia 820 has a battery capacity of 1650 mAh. Both these phones contain a front camera of the same pixel rate and hence stand equal even in the case of this specification.
Nokia Lumia 620 price in India is in the range of about Rs.13,000 to Rs.15,000 while the Nokia Lumia 820 is priced at about Rs.25000. when it comes to the price of both these mobiles, Lumia 620 is more desirable, but it has to be noted that the features vary with the price tag and are higher in Lumia 820.
Though most of the features of these phones are similar, there will be a few qualities that set both the mobiles aside. For instance, the camera of the Nokia Lumia 820 is better when seen against that of the Lumia 620.
